Logo Pictures - 10 Name Suggestions for Famous Brands – Honest Logos!

Many a times, we get the feeling that some famous companies do not live up to their names worth. Sometimes we feel that these brands names should have been something else. For example British Petroleum (BP), the oil giant, has never lived up to its expectations as an environment-friendly corporation. I for one think that their real name should have been “British Polluters”.
Lately, I stumbled upon a fascinating project named “Honest logos” prepared by artist Viktor Hertz. The project consists of ideas for famous logos that reveal as to what the companies should really be called. Although this project was done for sheer humor, some of these logo suggestions are actually quite fitting. Being inspired by these fascinating logos, I thought of creating some of my own as well. But first, have a look at some of these funny corporate logo parodies by Viktor Hertz:

1. Camel –» Cancer

The cigar brand is so hazardous for the human health that it should be named “Cancer” instead of ‘Camel’.

2. Facebook –» Procrastination

People waste so much time on the social networking site that it should be named ‘Procrastination’ instead of ‘facebook’.

3. McDonald’s –» McDiabetes

Too much of ‘McDonald’s’ is so bad for the health that the McDonald’s logo should spelt ‘McDiabetes’.

4. Nintendo –» Nothing to do

Video gaming is for idle people, the name ‘nothing to do’ really suites ‘Nintendo’.

5. Absolute Vodka –» Absolute Vomit

Since drinking too much makes you vomit, ‘Absolute Vodka’ should have been named ‘Absolute Vomit’.

Getting inspiration through this logo project, I decided to create a few of my own. I hope you find these interesting as well.

6. GAP –» CRAP

GAP recently underwent a public outrage over its GAP logo redesign. People have suggested that it should be named CRAP.

7. Obama –» Doofus

The Obama logo was very much ridiculed during his campaign years. Some people proposed that the campaign name should have been ‘Doofus’.

8. Google –» Goofing

Google allows people to search so extensively that they keep goofing around. Google logo should have been ‘Goofing’.

9. Twitter –» Timewaster

‘Twitter’ is so frequently used in our daily lives that it has become more of a ‘timewaster’.

10. British Petroleum –» Bad People

British Petroleum (BP) has caught up in an oil spill imbroglio so much that the BP logo design should be named ‘Bad People’.
